A typeface (or font family) is a design of letters, numbers and other symbols, to be used in printing or for electronic display. Most typefaces include variations in size (e.g., 24 point), weight (e.g., light, bold), slope (e.g., italic), width (e.g., condensed), and so on.
Tips for choosing fonts Start with inspiration. Create contrast with your second font. Try pairing opposites. Vary width. Consider shape: Geometric vs organic. Limit your design to 23 typefaces. Avoid trendy or popular typefaces. Understand the goal for this design.
The main difference between these two terms is that a typeface (or type family) is the name of a specific collection of related fonts. In comparison, font refers to a particular weight, width, and style within that typeface. To put it in simple terms, each variation of a typeface is a font.
A typeface is the underlying visual design that can exist in many different typesetting technologies, and a font is one of these implementations. In other words, a typeface is what you see and a font is what you use.
A typeface is the collective name of a family of related fonts (such as Times New Roman), while fonts refer to the weights, widths and styles that constitute a typeface (such as Times New Roman Regular, Italic, Bold).
To achieve a simple, minimal logo, I would suggest using a sans-serif font. A sans-serif font adheres to the minimalist design theory that less is more.
basically anything that distinguishes one set of letters from any other set of letters in the world. Even if you dont use the word typeface, you know them! Common typefaces include Arial, Times New Roman, Roboto, and Helvetica.
Remove fonts that you dont use In Control Panel, type Fonts in the search box at the top right. Under Fonts, click Preview, delete, or show and hide fonts. Select the font that you want to remove, and then click Delete. Delete the fonts that you dont want.
