(tech music) If youamp;#39;re finding us for the first time, be sure to hit that subscribe button to stay up-to-date with all the videos from both Patrick and myself, sometimes I just get things in waves. And Iamp;#39;ve had this question a bunch recently where folks are asking why is my refresh taking a while? My database is fast, what is going on? The refresh takes forever. So I wanted to dig into that and just think about a couple of things that may be coming into play, to be aware to where you can try and optimize, or at least know that it will have a potential impact on refresh time. Alright, enough of all that talking. Letamp;#39;s head over to my machine and actually dig into this. Iamp;#39;ll start off first, Iamp;#39;ve got a query that Iamp;#39;m going to, or a table that Iamp;#39;m gonna be loo

You should use removeAttribute() instead of setting the attribute value to null either directly or using setAttribute() . Many attributes will not behave as expected if you set them to null .
In the XML Source task pane, click XML Maps. The XML Maps dialog box is displayed. Select the XML map that you want to delete. Click Delete, and then click OK.
RemoveAttribute(String, String) Removes an attribute with the specified local name and namespace URI. (If the removed attribute has a default value, it is immediately replaced).
xml is loaded into xmlDoc. Set the variable y to be the element node to remove. Remove the element node by using the removeChild() method from the parent node.
In the XML Files explorer, right-click the XML file or XML element that you want to remove and click Delete.
A element is used as a placeholder for migrated elements that cannot be appropriately tagged without manual intervention. As the element name implies, the intent for authors is to clean up the contained material and eventually remove the element.
Resolution Make a copy of your XML file in case you need to start over. Open the xml file in any Text editor supporting Regular Expression Find/Replace feature. Open the Find/Replace edit window. Select the Regular Expression option. Find : [^;:()a-zA-Z0-9 =./
The removeAttribute() method removes an attribute, and does not have a return value. The removeAttributeNode() method removes an Attr object, and returns the removed object. The result will be the same.
