Never clean a tin with an abrasive cleaner and use soap only when absolutely necessary. Its best to clean with a soft, lint-free cloth moistened with fresh water. After washing, wait 24 hours before putting a cover back onto a tin, as any moisture trapped inside can cause the container to rust.

And not touching any other metal and it wont it shouldnt need to be cleaned very often im rachel youtus and that is how you clean tin.
The inside is where you do most of your living. As such, its important to take time to select the right interior stains and finishes for your log and timber home. In this way, you will achieve an interior that is visually pleasing and performs well for years.
Do I need to treat the interior of my Log Cabin with Preservative? It is not necessary but if a preservative is required or desired, use a biocide free preserver such as Osmo Wood Protector (4006). The inside of log cabins can be treated the same as the inside of a property, with interior floor oils or floor varnishes.
Tin is a relatively soft metal and the amount of force you can apply with a scrub sponge and an abrasive cleaner (such as Comet, Bon Ami, Bar Keepers Friend, Soft Scrub, et cetera) is enough to abrade it away.
Clean them Every two or three months (or more often, if needed), give those interior walls a wipe down or a vacuum. Washing your walls isnt difficult. Simply use a mixture of wood-friendly soap like Murphys Oil Soap and water, then wipe them thoroughly with a firm sponge.
White vinegar, lemon oil, and mineral oil are just as good at removing grease, grime, and other residues as harsher cleaners, but with the added benefit of minimizing damage to your walls and releasing fewer fumes into the air. Lastly, keep your home in optimal conditions to keep your logs looking good.
Dusting is not an unusual house cleaning activity. In this case, it docHubes a whole new level. The crevices between the wood logs are a natural dust trap. You can prevent it by applying an appropriate finish.
