Right-click on the signature and select inspect to view the HTML code. Select the line that says signature and copy it, you will see how the signature is selected in the email text at the same time.
There are two most common ways to customize your email signature template: Copy the signature, paste it into a signature editor in your email client and work on it there. Use the file you have saved and operate on the HTML code directly as discussed in this article on HTML in email signatures.
