Hello everyone. Today on this video iamp;#39;m going to show you a couple of quick ways in which to bring your clasp back to to a better condition. Try and remove some of the scratches, obviously this gets the most damage on watches. Now what weamp;#39;ve got here itamp;#39;s one of my own collection itamp;#39;s a retro 1970s Seiko 5. I love this watch Iamp;#39;ve done the case but I havenamp;#39;t done the bracelet yet but i thought Iamp;#39;d have a go on the the clasp just to show you a couple of methods that I use. Now bear in mind this watch is over 40 years old I donamp;#39;t think itamp;#39;s ever been refinished. Hopefully you can just see here thereamp;#39;s quite a lot of light scratching. Iamp;#39;ve seen a lot worse than this but sometimes the light scratching is hiding bigger ones underneath. This method can be applied to any stainless steel clasp. itamp;#39;s fairly straightforward you can either use a rotary tool that iamp;#39;ve go

In conclusion, while scratches can affect a Rolexs value, its rarely as catastrophic as one might initially think. A well-maintained Rolex, showing reasonable signs of wear, can still command a high value on the pre-owned market.

For vintage Rolex watches, scratches on a plexiglass crystal can be polished by a watchmaker or by using polywatch, a scratch-removing gel. Apply a small amount with a cotton cloth, rub firmly but gently, and dry with a clean cloth. For deep scratches, a buffing wheel is necessary.
Scratches on your treasured timepiece can be a real disappointment. The good news is that its quite simple to remove them. For scratched watch glass, scratches can be removed with a polish, buffing cloth, and a bit of elbow grease and patience. For the rest of your watch, it comes down to watch material.
A paste of baking soda and water (mix the parts until theyre the consistency of toothpaste) is mildly abrasive, so it gently buffs away surface scuffs when you rub it on the wall in circular motions with a cloth. When youve successfully banished the scuff, wipe away the leftover bits with a clean, damp cloth.
You can make your own vinegar-based cleaner, use toothpaste, or purchase a degreaser for auto interiors. Spray your cleaner on the surface and use a magic eraser scrub pad to buff out the scuff. For deeper marks, you can order an easy-to-use scratch-removing kit to make your wrap vinyl or paint job look as good as new.
There are few techniques that effectively remove scratches from your used Rolex watch. One way to remove scratches is to use a polishing cloth. It works in both stainless and gold surfaces and is easy to use. One of the most recommended cloths are Cape Cod metal polishing cloths that come in a tin of 10.
