Rub a walnut or pecan into the scratch: For very light scratches, a common home remedy is to gently rub a walnut or pecan into the scratch. The natural oils in these nuts help conceal the scratch and blend it into the surrounding wood.
Baking Soda Paste You can also get rid of scuffing with baking soda and water. To do so, mix a little baking soda with water until it forms a paste. Then apply it to the scuffed area, rubbing it with a soft cloth. Use water to remove the paste, allowing it to dry thoroughly.
Removing Scratches Buffing white wooden doors can remove mild scuff marks. If buffing doesnt work on your mild scuffs, a paste of baking soda and water can be used to rub the area with a non-abrasive pad. The baking soda exfoliates and gently abrades for a deeper clean.
Put a few drops of olive or mineral oil and the worst of the scratches, then rub with a clean rag. It might take a couple applications, but it usually works.

Rather than docHubing for harsh chemicals first, try plain water. Start with a damp, soft cloth or sponge, and gently wipe the mark so keep the surface safe. Be careful to work only on the mark itself, and resist the urge to scour the surrounding area.
For more stubborn scuffs, a paste made of baking soda and warm water can be an effective solution. Mix about two tablespoons of baking soda with warm water to create a smooth, thick paste. Using a soft cloth, gently scrub the mark using this paste.
Make a stain remover by adding enough water to baking soda to create a thick paste. Rub the stain gently with the paste using a soft cloth. Use a damp cloth to wipe up the residue and give the wood a quick buff. Apply petroleum jelly to the watermark and let it sit overnight.
