Soap and Water Can Save the Day Warm water is the first solution to try when removing scuff marks. The addition of some gentle dish soap can make things even easier. Take a soft sponge or cloth, dampen it with the water-based solution, and gently wipe the targeted area until the scuff mark disappears.
You can also try removing scuffs from a vinyl floor using diluted white vinegar. Moisten the microfiber cloth or sponge using the diluted solution, and apply the solution directly to the scuff mark. Let the solution sit on the mark for up to 10 minutes. Then, wipe off the vinegar using a clean cloth.
First, WD40 is a petroleum-based product, so it can potentially damage the paint on your car if used excessively. Second, WD40 will only remove light scratches; deeper scratches will require more intensive treatment.
Try White, Non-Gel Toothpaste As a mild abrasive, toothpaste can help remove scuff marks from walls as well. To clean, place less than a pea-sized amount on a cotton swab and gently rub back and forth until the mark is removed. Then, use a clean damp cloth to wipe away residue.
Just squeeze a pea-sized amount of toothpaste onto a soft, clean cloth and rub it into the scratch or scuff mark. Rub in a circular motion until the blemish disappears, then buff the area with a clean, dry cloth.
Painting over scuff marks can be a straightforward and effective way to make your walls look good again.
Remove Scuffs and Crayon Marks from Walls Hold the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser under a faucet to saturate it with water and then squeeze out the water. Scrub the wall scuff or crayon mark with gentle, steady pressure. Dont be overzealous or youll lose some paint.
