If there are stains or marks, you can use a damp cloth and gently wipe the affected area. Avoid using any cleaning products or harsh chemicals as they may damage the print.
Lay a soft clean towel on the work surface you plan to use. Put on a pair of soft white (so you can see if they get dirty) lint-free cotton gloves. Hold the photos only by the edges. Use a very soft brush to gently brush dirt away from the photo surface.
Type del %systemroot%\System32\spool\printers\* /Q, then press Enter. Type net start spooler, then press Enter. The print queue on your Windows should now be cleared. Type exit, then press Enter to exit the command windows.
Choose the folder with your ZIP file or files, set Open Compressed Files on, and click Scan. Then click Print. You get a list with all the files in the ZIP file. Use the Preview function to quickly get a preview of several file types on the ZIP file.
Stopping and restarting print queues (Windows) Step 1: Open the Printers scanners menu. If the print job is currently in progress, double-click on the printer icon located in the taskbar in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Step 2: Open the print queue. Step 3: Delete the print job.
Damp cloth: If the dirt stain is stubborn and cannot be brushed away, a damp cotton swab or microfiber cloth works pretty well. Hold the print vertically and rub the blemish gently. Wipe off the moisture with a dry cloth and place the artwork in direct sunlight for quick drying.
Cleaning the printer from the PC To run automatic cleaning, check your printer display menu and select Printer Maintenance. Then, choose Clean Printhead. Once cleaning is complete, run a test print to check it has worked. If the cleaning was successful, the colours should be vibrant, and the quality should be crisp.
HANDY TIP - Always clean carefully and with a soft non-abrasive, lint-free cloth or paper towel. Anything rough or textured will scratch your print.
