Sometimes the drum gets dirty with grease, stickers or something else. To clean it, often it is not necessary to disassemble the toner cartridge and remove the OPC drum. The drum is this metal roller, often green or brown in color. Get a soft cloth, or cotton. Dampen the cloth with isopropyl alcohol. Locate the dirt patch on the drum surface. Rotate the drum through its gears or by pressing on the side areas. Be sure you rotate the drum in the direction of printing. if you rotate the OPC drum in the opposite direction, you could damage the gearsand the cleaning blade. The right direction is that of the path of the sheet of paper. You can use the toner roller as a reference. the direction is this one. If the drum is particularly hard to turn by hand, you can help yourself with a screwdriver. be careful not to damage the gear teeth. Using the cloth dampened with isopropylalcohol, clean the dirty area. Do not touch the OPC drum with your fingers. You can also clean the whole OP

If you find dots or spots appear on your printed documents this is usually caused by paper dust or objects such as staples or paper clips sticking to the surface of the drum. Toner builds up around these areas which in turn creates the dots or spots which then appear on your print-out.
Printer tracking dots, also known as printer steganography, DocuColor tracking dots, yellow dots, secret dots, or a machine identification code (MIC), is a digital watermark which many color laser printers and copiers produce on every printed page that identifies the specific device that was used to print the document.
uneven or patchy printing can be caused by various factors, including low ink or toner levels, clogged or misaligned print heads, poor paper quality, incorrect print density settings, temperature issues, outdated drivers, insufficient memory, or hardware problems.
How to Make a Printer Print High Quality (The Factors With the Biggest Impact) Clean Your Copier. Use High Quality Paper. Match Printer Settings to the Paper. Check Your Toner Levels. Check the Toner Drum. Prevent Overheating. Reduce Humidity.
1. Dots are typically caused by foreign material inside the machine (for example paper dust, glue from labels or envelopes, paper clips, staples) sticking to or damaging the surface of the drum. Toner builds up on or sticks to these areas on the drum and creates black dots on the printed pages. 2.
Run a nozzle check to see if any of the print head nozzles are clogged. Then clean the print head, if necessary. Align the print head. Adjust the print quality in the product software.
Another way to remove the dotting is by using a dry cloth. You can use any old piece of cloth that you have sitting around in your house and just rub it over the print in circular motions until all the dots are gone.
Smudges or dots on printed pages are usually caused by foreign material (paper dust, glue from labels or envelopes, toner residue, paper clips, staples, etc.) sticking to or damaging the surface of the drum unit. Cleaning the drum unit typically resolves this issue.
