physical therapy has a lot of benefits it can strengthen a limb before surgery it can help control pain it can help patients after surgeries were lucky to have a really world-class team here from our rehabilitation department the physical therapist and i work together closely both before and after surgery almost all of my post-op patients will have a a post-op physical therapy appointment often starting within a few days from surgery and i really trust and work closely with the therapist to help the patient along to use their expertise to take the orders that i give and figure out how to use those with each patient with each surgery to give them the best possible outcome
