today were cleaning the coil on a mobile home package unit air conditioner these are a lot easier to clean than your split system where the air handler is inside the house the first thing you want to do is go to your power box and turn off the power for the AC the next thing were gonna do is were going to take out all of these screws that are around the top you know of this lid on this air conditioner theres also a couple that are usually on the top of the deck you know also and well end up lifting this whole lid off of this thing the fan is going to stay attached to the lid and were gonna pivot this thing just enough so that we dont have to take all this fan apart and all the wiring apart for that if you dont already have a water diverter installed on the back of your package in it so when the rain comes down it doesnt get all the ductwork that comes off the back of this package unit all soaked you should definitely consider installing this because if you get water intrusion
