now that we have our survey data in an excel table letamp;#39;s clean it up by cleanup we mean getting rid of the scores that are meaningless either because thereamp;#39;s such outliers that they canamp;#39;t be true or maybe because somebody went to the survey really quickly and gave the same answer for every answer itamp;#39;s data thatamp;#39;s just noise itamp;#39;s not stated thatamp;#39;s not meaningful and then weamp;#39;re gonna weamp;#39;ll get rid of that data so here we have our downloaded uh survey and we have our variable numbers in the top row of the table this this row up here above is the the question that was in google forms and then weamp;#39;ve got the their responses in numeric format in each row of the table now before we uh do this google forms freezes the top row let and that means that when we scroll down that top row stays down there now letamp;#39;s when we scroll letamp;#39;s keep the variable names there and also letamp;#39;s keep the participan

Why are there question marks in my CSV file?

When working with CSV files in Excel, the issue of symbols becoming question marks is typically due to character encoding problems.

How to get rid of quotation marks in CSV?

You can just open the CSV file in Excel and replace all the quotation marks with an empty line that will remove all of them.

How do I remove formatting from a CSV file?

Click on Save As from the File or Windows Button menu in Excel then choose the Other Formats option and choose Unicode Text as the file type. Type a file name into the File Name box and click on Save. This will create a text file containing the data but with the CSV formatting stripped out.

Why is my CSV file messed up?

Issues with data values can be a docHub cause of CSV importing errors. These include unexpected data length either too long or too short. It could also mean unacceptable characters such as text in a numbers-only column or numbers in a boolean (a boolean is a data type with two possible values: True or false.)

Why does my CSV file have quotation marks?

Resolution. A delimited file is the same as a CSV (comma-separated value) file. CSV files use double-quote marks to delimit field values that have spaces, so a value like Santa Claus gets saved as Santa Claus to preserve the space.
