While itamp;#39;s only a small amount, itamp;#39;s important to know how to properly clean and dispose of the bulb. First open the windows, and air out the room for about 10 minutes. Shut off any central air system to prevent the mercury from entering the air vents. Before cleaning, itamp;#39;s best to wear disposable rubber gloves. Now donamp;#39;t use a vacume to clean the spill or you risk spreading the mercury. Instead use a stiff piece of paper or cardboard to scoop up the powder and glass into a container which can be sealed and disposed of later. Any small glass fragments can be picked up by using duct tape. Now, use a damp paper towel and wipe down the remaining area. Anything used to clean up the powder is now contaminated, so make sure to place the cardboard, duct tape, paper towel, glov
