Change or delete the header or footer from the first page Double-click the first page header or footer area. Check Different First Page to see if its selected. If not: Select Different First Page. Add your new content into the header or footer. Select Close Header and Footer or press ESC to exit.
Note: Ensure that the Quick Access Toolbar checkbox is checked. Step 5: Simply go to the Quick Access Toolbar at the top and click on the Print Preview Edit icon. Step 6: To edit the document, uncheck the Magnifier checkbox. You can now edit the document, and the header picture wont be faded in Word.
To do this, simply add the position: fixed; value to your header and footer code. Doing this will ensure these elements stick in place at the top and bottom of your page. You may also need to include padding on the main body to prevent it from going underneath the header and footer.
Go to Insert Header Footer. On the top right side of the document, select Options Remove Headers Footers.
While your cursor is in the Header, choose the Design tab under Header Footer Tools then select the checkbox next to Different first page. This allows you to have a special header on the first page of your document.
