the video clip is of a procedure that I did recently its called partial medium in a sec to me the tissue being cleaned up is a medial meniscus the surface above is a femur the surface below is a tibia this is the meet the inner or medial side of the joint this tear had been present for many months and it was cast causing blocking and catching as you can see the tear is basically in the center of the joint so any movement of the joint would cause pain once it was trimmed or cleaned up the patient felt immediate pain relief although we do our very best to preserve meniscus in this case it was a non repairable tear it was small it was non vascular and it was old recent literature showing that you dont always have to repair or fix or operate on meniscus but when its causing daily catching that is not allowing almost any activity this procedure is very successful
