hi everyone Christa Cowan here with another episode of the barefoot genealogist today we are talking about Family Tree Maker 2012 and weamp;#39;re going to be spending some time looking at the filter options now this kind of goes along with the theme we started on Tuesday which was about focusing our research many of you know that I am a huge fan of the concept of having one tree I know a lot of you feel the need to have a tree for different parts of your family maybe you split it out by your parents or by you know you have four trees one for each of your grandparents and I understand that there are reasons for doing that however one of the reasons that I hear from people a lot about why they do that is that they feel like their tree is too big or that itamp;#39;s too difficult to work with and thatamp;#39;s something that I have a hard time understanding because I use filters so heavily because it allows me to just focus on that group of people that I want to work with and kind of

Steps (website) Sign in to FamilySearch, and click Family Tree. Find the person that you want to enhance. Click the persons name. Click the Details tab. Beside the information you want to change, click the Edit icon . Review the sources and reason statement.
Removing a fact or event From the profile page of someone in your tree, click the Facts tab. In the Facts column, hover over a fact and click the Edit button that appears. In the bottom-right corner of the opened window, click Delete. To confirm, click Delete.
Deleting a fact Go to the Person tab on the People workspace for the appropriate individual. Click the Facts button. Right-click on the fact that you want to delete and select Delete Fact from the drop-down list.
In the Family Tree mobile app, you can detach a source. Navigate to the person page. Tap Sources. Tap the source that you want to detach. On the upper right, tap the 3 dots. Tap Detach. Enter a reason to detach. To confirm, click Detach.
Steps (mobile app) In the Family Tree mobile app, navigate to the Person page that you want to edit. Tap the Details tab. Under Vitals, tap the information you want to delete. Review the current information and any reason statements. Tap Delete. Explain why you made a change. Tap Delete.
