The PNR Record Locator is the reservation number of the trip booked by the travel agency from the GDS system, which is typically different than the airline confirmation code. The airline confirmation number is what is required for the traveler to check-in to their flight.
PNR is the abbreviation of Passenger Name Record and it is a digital certificate allowing passengers to do online check-in or manage their bookings in a short time. Also used as booking number, Passenger Name Record is a code with 6 alphanumeric characters (letters and numbers are used together).
Out of the 10 digits, the first three digits store information about the zone and the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) from which the ticket has been booked. The first digit denotes the railway zone which is the trains origin. The next two digits indicate the PRS from where the ticket has been issued.
Where is the PNR number printed on a train ticket? A: If the train ticket is bought at any railway station, the PNR number will be printed on the top left corner of the ticket. In case the ticket is bought online, the PNR number will be displayed separately on the top of the ticket.
PQWL means pooled quota waiting list. if you have this kind of ticket it means you have a pooled confirm ticket with this you can travel in train but your seat is not confirmed. The TT either gives you a half seat where it has or else you to travel without seat for a pooled station.
Once you have received confirmation from IRCTC, you can make the necessary changes to your ticket. This can be done through the IRCTC website or by visiting the customer care center in person. You will need to provide your ticket number and the confirmation email to make the changes.
GNWL: GNWL stands for General Waiting List. These are the tickets that are waitlisted and issued only after the passengers cancel their confirmed bookings. This type of ticket has got high chances of confirmation and is one of the most common types of the waiting list for train tickets.
The Passenger Name Record (PNR) will provide you with information about the real-time status of your booking. You will be able to know if your US Airways tickets have been confirmed, or if you are on the waiting list. You will also have access to updates about the exact arrival and departure of US Airways flights.
