How do I remove a signature in a Word document?

If you want to remove a digital signature, open your Word document and go to the signature line. If there is no signature line, click the View Signatures button just below the Word ribbon. From the Signatures box, select the signature you want to to delete. Right-click on the signature and then click Remove Signature.

How do I permanently remove track changes in Word?

To remove tracked changes in Word, go to the Review tab, and accept or reject each change individually or all at once. Then, turn off track changes. Lastly, save the document, and the tracked changes will be removed.

How do I permanently remove all markups from a Word document?

Go to the Review tab. In the Delete drop-down list, select Delete All Comments in Document.

How to clean up a Word doc?

In Word: On the Edit menu, click Clear and then select Clear Formatting.

How to permanently remove markup in Word?

Click on Accept, under Changes, then use the arrow to navigate to and select Accept All Changes in Document, if you approve of all of the changes and want Word to automatically accept them in their entirety. By accepting all of the changes, Word removes their markups.

How to scrub a document of metadata?

Using Document Inspector in Word (Windows) To use Document Inspector, go to File, Info and choose Inspect Document then select the appropriate content to inspect, and click Inspect. Then click Remove All. Remember always to check the details of your file to make sure all metadata has been removed

Why does my Word document keep showing markup?

This is the default behaviour so that you dont forget that there is markup in a document. If you want to change that default behaviour, do the following: Go to File Options and in the left sidebar menu open the Trust Center tab.
