Before you finalize a document and send it to its intended recipient, its important that you clean up the document to remove revisions, versions, and hidden information.
To decrypt a file or folder: From the Start menu, select Programs or All Programs, then Accessories, and then Windows Explorer. Right-click the file or folder you want to decrypt, and then click Properties. On the General tab, click Advanced. Clear the Encrypt contents to secure data checkbox, and then click OK.
In Word: On the Edit menu, click Clear and then select Clear Formatting.

Unlock a protected document If you are an authenticated owner of the document, or if you know the password for removing document protection, do the following: On the Review tab, in the Protect group, click Restrict Editing. In the Restrict Editing task pane, click Stop Protection.
Normally, when a Word document is encrypted with password, we can open it with the protected password, and then decrypt it by this way: File Info Protect Document Encrypt with password, clear the password from text box, and then click on OK to unprotect the Word document.
Type and search [Device encryption settings] in the Windows search bar①, then click [Open]②. On the Device encryption field, set the option to [Off]③. Confirm whether you need to turn off device encryption, select [Turn off] to disable the device encryption function④.
