Deregister one or multiple Amazon Machine Images (AMI)s and optionally delete all associated snapshots. Once deregistered the AMI or AMIs cant be used for launching new instances.

How to delete unused security groups in AWS?

Remove Unused Security Groups in AWS Navigate to AWS Management Console. Choose the EC2 service. From the left-side menu, select Security Groups. Select the box next to the unused security groups you want to delete. Choose the Actions option. Select Delete Security Group. When prompted, confirm by pressing Yes, Delete.
