If you have PDF files that you'd rather not delete, you can save them and free up space by converting them to Google Docs (or Sheets or Slides, depending on the file). To do this, right-click on the PDF file, hover over Open with, and choose Google Docs from the drop-down menu.
The first way is to use the function to remove all non-printable characters from a text string. To do this, you would use the following syntax: =CLEAN(text) . The second way is to use the function to remove all HTML tags from a text string. To do this, you would use the following syntax: =CLEAN(text, removeHTML) .
Note: Before we get started, you'll need to make sure that Autocomplete is enabled in your Sheet. To do this, just visit “Tools” at the top of the screen and then “Autocomplete”. Then, check “Enable auto-complete”.
Click on 'File', and then 'Info'. There, you'll see a drop-down 'Protect Document'. Click on it and choose 'Encrypt with Password'.

To delete your Google Drive files, move them to the trash. Files in trash will be automatically deleted after 30 days. You can restore files from your trash before the 30-day time window. You can also permanently delete them to empty your trash.
If you're sharing a Google Drive file that you own, which has sensitive content, you can stop people from re-sharing, downloading, printing, or copying the file or changing access permissions. To restrict sharing for shared drives, see Get started with shared drives.
