hi everybody dr pingle here um we are going to talk about um manually filtering out noise points from cloud compare uh here ive got a photogrametric point cloud of a tornado damaged area in franklin county and were going to take a look for you can probably already see as we kind of pan around a little bit weve got a lot of noisy points continue on uh pretty low away from the actual surface and so we want to clean those things up so um the first thing that i want to do um to make this possible this is a pretty big point cloud um so im gonna make my life a little bit easier by making sure that both of these are are turned off which is going to prevent cloud compare from trying to resample these as im moving it the next thing that im going to do is im going to im going to trim out a lot of these no no data points with just the bounding box here so we can start out getting a pretty good rough cut of this uh and just export this back out um all of these things happen in memory um s
