[Music] welcome back deep review TV viewers its Chris Nichols here in one of our other videos we committed heinous atrocities to lenses to see just how much punishment they could take before they would actually get damaged you should watch it its a good watch but god is curious to think well what about just common occurrences and situations or minor damage to the front of your lens what could that actually do to your images if anything at all so we thought we would test that out weve got four criteria so before we get started with all of these tests we wanted to shoot things wide open and then stop down and of course we have a control which is clean alright so the first test fingerprints because they happen very easily for various reasons and you can see here with my adorable daughter nice and contrast II very sharp so when we get fingerprints whether its at f/4 or an F 8 it really does affect the image quality we also put fingerprints on the back element cuz honestly that happens
