hey there i had a question today that reminded me of this project i helped someone with recently and it is a very tricky one dealing with phone numbers and i want you to see in excel what im talking about some times the phone number has been entered with parentheses and dashes in it and sometimes the number has been entered just raw numbers with no formatting and so when i select this group of data and copy and im going to paste it here next door im going to paste just the values so you can see the difference ive got that and if you are taking this data somewhere else you could be getting into a bit of a little data nightmare so what i helped someone do is kind of strip down all the unnecessary stuff out of this to leave us with raw numbers and then we can use the formatting tools within excel to get exactly the look that we want and its going to be consistent with everything ive got a website here where i found the answer to and im going to use that to help me here so okay so
