They can make as little as $2.13 an hour from the restaurant and the majority of their pay does come through tips. So its not really an extra bonus for them. It is their salary. The customary amount to tip in a U.S restaurant is around 15% to 20% and feel free to give a little bit more if you had extra good service. Ill show you quick ways on how to calculate that. If you want to do it on a calculator quickly, you take the amount of the bill, lets say $20, times 0.2 for 20% and that number would be $4, so $4 would be a decent tip. But I like to do it in my head. It makes it quicker. Ill take the total amount of
