Today, the most common way to hide the harsh glow of fluorescent light is with plastic covers for fluorescent light fixtures. Almost every fixture has them. Typical plastic covers for fluorescent light fixtures come in a few styles. The most common are prismatic and frosted light fixture covers.
Lemon, salt, and cornstarch: Take equal portions of lemon juice, regular cornstarch, and salt, and mix them. Use a soft cloth to rub the mixture on tarnished spots of your copper fixture and leave it for an hour or so. Clean it off with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth or a soft brush.
– Damp cloths and spray cleaning chemicals can seep into the bulb or the fixture it's connected to, damaging both. Instead, opt for a dry, gentle cloth to wipe bulbs down and remove any dust, dirt, or grime.
Using a damp, cloth gently wipe the bulb clean followed by a microfiber cloth to help dry and polish the bulbs. Now remove the fixture from the soapy water and start to remove any dirt or dust build up using a sponge. Then rinse the fixture in clean water, followed by drying it off with a dry towel or microfiber cloth.
A sink with warm water and a few drops of mild dish soap is all that is usually needed to clean glass light fixtures. Allow them to soak for a few minutes before wiping them down and rinsing. Use a dry towel to wipe them completely dry, especially the inside.
How do I clean my light fixture if the glass is yellowed? Glass fixtures take on a yellowed appearance when they haven't been cleaned often. If the glass is yellowed, soak it in a mixture of vinegar and water and scrub gently with a microfiber cloth. Once it's done soaking, just rinse and wipe clean.
Do some spot treatment: For especially greasy spots, use a mixture of baking soda and dish soap. Apply it with a cloth and wipe off any residual. (You can also dab on pure eucalyptus oil mixed with rubbing alcohol. Leave it on for a few minutes, then polish it off.)

Using an electrostatic duster or microfiber cloth, gently sweep or wipe bulbs, covers, and fixtures to remove surface dust. Fill a dish pan or a sink with warm water and a small amount of mild dish soap.
Always use a microfiber cloth to avoid damaging your panel as paper towels are likely to create scratches when used. Wet the cloth with a recommended cleaning solution or with soapy water. After wetting the cloth, start lightly blotting the acrylic then gently spread the solution onto the entire surface.
