If this happens to you You go to your printer you try to print something and when its trying to do the actual print job it will not feed the paper. The sheet of paper wont go inside, the feeding roller is just slipping on the page and its not taking it inside the printer to start printing. Here you can see a close-up. The actual rollers they do spin. Its just that theyre dirty from dust and old paper. They become more slippery than they should be and they stopped working. ASC-US is the most common abnormal Pap test result. ASC-US stands for atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance. Squamous refers to the type of cells that make up the tissue that covers the cervix. LSILThis means that the cervical cells show changes that are mildly abnormal.
A normal Pap smear shows healthy squamous cells (flat cells that look like fish scales) from the surface of the cervix. There are no signs of infection and no abnormal cells. Even if your Pap results are healthy, you should be tested regularly.
Early infections or resolving infections with HPV may not reveal any cellular abnormalities. The most common reason for a negative Pap test with a positive HPV result is that the patient has an HPV infection, but the infection is not causing any cellular abnormalities.
Class 5 is cancer that has started to grow deeper into the cervix. This stage of cancer can spread to other parts of the body. The new classification system replaces the traditional classes with terms describing the microscopic changes in cervical cells.
A Pap test is a simple screening test that can help prevent cancer of the cervix (cervical cancer). A Pap test looks for abnormal cell changes in the cervix. It does not test for other cancers in the reproductive organs or for sexually transmitted infections, such as chlamydia, gonorrhea or HIV.
There are five main categories of abnormal Pap smear results within the Bethesda system: Atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance (ASC-US). Squamous intraepithelial lesion (SIL). Atypical squamous cells that may or may not be HSIL (ASC-H). Atypical glandular cells (AGC). Cancer.
Cervical cell classes: (A) normal squamous, (B) normal columnar, and (C) low-grade dysplasia; (D) high-grade dysplasia (HGD) with moderate dysplasia, (E) HGD with severe dysplasia, and (F) carcinoma in situ.
Most often, the abnormal test result means there have been cell changes caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV). Thats the most common sexually transmitted infection (STI), and can be linked to cervical cancer. Changes to your cervical cells caused by HPV can be mild, moderate, or severe.
Can a Pap smear detect STDs? No, a Pap test only checks for cell changes and potentially cancerous cells in your cervix. However, an abnormal Pap test result could indicate that you may have human papillomavirus (HPV), which is an STD thats associated with a high risk of cervical cancer.
The test checks for: Cervical cancer. Potentially precancerous cells in the cervix (cervical intraepithelial neoplasia). Human papillomavirus (HPV), a common sexually transmitted infection (STI) that increases the risk of cervical cancer.
