hi Im Shannon grocery with versa toss software training and Im here to show you how to edit a table of contents in Word so I have a document set up and I do have a table of contents but Im going to show you some things you can do to change it if I click in the table of contents you can see that it is something that is an extra field thats been input into Word and if I want to make changes to it I can come here to the reference tab and on the far left I have a drop-down arrow table of contents some things I can do to change that would be to change the built-in style so I can maybe choose this manual table option and as you can see I can fill in any kind of information I want there or I can go up to contents which is what I think I had before but I might want to change the items that I see in the table of contents so at this point I see under our services a few services and I might not want those in my table of contents they got pulled in because its by default pulling in up to thr

Step 1: When the Word program displays two pages in side-by-side mode, click on the View tab and then click on the Vertical option to quickly switch back to the default single-page mode.
In order to hide them, you need to use the Show/Hide button to toggle the display of nonprinting characters (formatting marks). Note that this button just toggles between the display of all nonprinting characters and any that you may have individually selected at File | Options | Display.
Open the document in Microsoft Word or another word processor. Move the mouse cursor to the last character you want to delete. Click the left mouse button to place the cursor after the last character. Press Backspace one or more times to delete the characters in front of the cursor.
The most common reason for pesky blank pages in a Word document is because the paragraph on the blank page doesnt fit on the page before it. When theres no space for another line, Word pushes it to the following page.
Another issue that can cause a blank page you cant delete is when you or another user inserted a page break into the page. You can clear this by ensuring a page break starts a new page, which will let you delete the blank page. To update this section setting, select the Layout menu and select Margins in the ribbon.
You can use the Find function in Word to search for all the hidden text and replace it with nothing, i.e. remove it. Note that you will need to show all of your hidden text using Control+Shift+8 or the Show/Hide button before you search for it the Find/Replace function wont find it if it is still hidden.
Delete a blank page Press Ctrl+Shift+8 (⌘+8 on a Mac) to show paragraph marks. Select the paragraph mark. Select inside the Font size box, type 01, and then press Enter .
