hi my name is Justin Conway today Im going to talk about how to delete footers out of Microsoft Excel sometimes the footer can be hidden if youre in normal view in Microsoft Excel itll sort of hide the options that are available to you but there are various ways to get to them and Ill show you how so here I have a spreadsheet open then Im in normal view and so you cant see any footers here but if you go into view and select page layout itll now show you when you hover over the area theres your header and scroll down a little bit theres your footer if you double click in the footer if there were any text here lets just make an example real quick we can click out so now theres a footer we can just double click in there delete and your footers gone you can also in page four you use the sidebar here to make your foot or bigger or smaller if youd like to adjust that margin the other ways to go about finding your header and footer are to click on layout and you can click on that

You can add headers or footers at the top or bottom of a printed worksheet in Excel. For example, you might create a footer that has page numbers, the date, and the name of your file. You can create your own, or use many built-in headers and footers.
When you open a new workbook in Excel, the default headers and footers are blank. You can add text or images to the header or footer, or you can format the text that appears there. You can also change the position of the header or footer on the page, or change the margins to make more room for the header or footer.
Remove headers or footers On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Header Footer. Excel displays the worksheet in Page Layout view. Click the left, center, or right header or the footer text box at the top or the bottom of the worksheet page. Press Delete or Backspace.
Select the worksheets from which you want to remove a header or footer. Open the Page Setup dialog box (Page Layout tab Page Setup group Dialog Box Launcher).
