hi guys and welcome back to the cats Bella cross-stitch YouTube channel today I wanted to do a tutorial about how to wash your cross-stitch piece once its finished so you need to run a nice warm bath full of soapy water just use a mild soap detergent I think here Ive probably used some kind of baby bubble bar thinks its quite gentle dont have the water too hot but just warm enough to give it a nice wash place the piece into the water and give it a bit of a swish around not too much though you dont want to kind of pull it in too many directions or disturb the stitches it will depend on how grubby the pieces itself but just give it a good old wash I also find that washing it once youve finished makes the fabric stiffer once its dry and that way its easier to finish and frame off you can see here that I am just pushing the piece under the water and giving it a bit of a swish around to make sure its nice and fresh and clean this is some weird technique that I seem to do with my f
