An Alabama boat bill of sale is a legal document that a seller provides to a buyer to document a change in ownership as well as the price paid for the vessel. This document is a requirement in the state for the purpose of registration.

Alabama does not issue titles on boats. Boats newer than 1972 must have a 12 digit hull number. If you need to have a state assigned hull number, please follow the instructions on this form. Boats renew by 1st letter of last name.
