In this tutorial, we will create and use an SSL client certificate for SSL authentication in an asp.net MVC web application. We start by creating a new certificate locally and configuring it with IIS. We modify the application properties to enable SSL, save the changes, and obtain the SSL URL. After configuring the browser to trust the certificate locally, we test the SSL-enabled site in the browser. Finally, we use the developer command prompt to create a new certificate for future use.
