Information to Include on Your Baptism Invite Here are a few things you should include on your baptism invitation: Full name of the child being baptized. Names of the parents, godparents, and grandparents of the child. Names of the hosts of the baptism if its not the parents.
If the person is an adult, then tell them that youre happy for them. If you can go, then attend their baptism. Thank them for inviting you, and be the safe person that the person being baptized thinks you are. You can still give them a congratulations card.
A christening is a formal occasion but the dress code is a bit more relaxed than a wedding softer silhouettes and bolder prints are perfectly fine. Of course, when in doubt, always ask the parents hosting the christening if they have any dress code preferences. That way, you cant go wrong!
White is one of the most popular colours to wear to a baptism. There are no specific colours you arent allowed to wear to a christening. But some are more appropriate than others. For example, many like to wear white, pastels, and light colours to the ceremony.
Here are a few things you should include on your baptism invitation: Full name of the child being baptized. Names of the parents, godparents, and grandparents of the child. Names of the hosts of the baptism if its not the parents. Date and time of the baptism. The location of the baptism.
Obviously, you will need to have the childs name featuring prominently on the invitation. You would then include the venue, the date and time. Its also nice to include a Bible verse, greeting or poem. Some people like to include the names of the godparents and parents and it is entirely up to you.
They might include the childs grandparents, aunts, uncles, first cousins, a few friends and of course their selected godparents.
In general, the parents, siblings, godparents, and grandparents of the baby are invited to attend. You can also extend the invitation to other family members and friends. If the church is small, plan a reception after the ceremony where you can invite more guests to honor the special moment.
