In this video tutorial, the presenter discusses the luxury dry-cleaning process at Maurice, specifically using garments belonging to Henry Blodget. Contrary to common belief, dry cleaning is not a completely dry process; it involves wetting clothes with hydrocarbon solvent rather than water. This solvent, often considered organic, is safe for fabrics. The cleaning involves the use of soap and mechanical action to clean the garments, followed by removing the solvent and drying them. After cleaning, the garments are inspected for button integrity and lining issues before proceeding to the pressing department for finishing. The process emphasizes quality care for clothing.
