To check spelling for any text on your worksheet, click Review Spelling. Tip: You can also press F7. Here are some things that happen when you use the spelling checker: If you select a single cell for spell check, Excel checks the entire worksheet, including the comments, page headers, footers and graphics.
On the Home tab, in the Records group, click Spelling. Tip: You can access this command quickly by adding it to the Quick Access Toolbar by right-clicking the Spelling button, and then clicking Add to Quick Access Toolbar on the shortcut menu. The Spelling dialog box opens.
Spell check lets you know when words are misspelled, corrects misspelled words as you type, and allows you to search a whole document for misspelled words.
Go to Settings. languages. To the right of Spell check, turn it on or off.
Check spelling and grammar all at once On the Review tab, click Spelling Grammar. If Word finds a potential error, the Spelling Grammar dialog box will open, spelling errors will be shown as red text, and grammatical errors will be shown as green text.
Changing Words Settings In any Word document, click File and then Options. Open the Proofing tab and uncheck the Ignore words in UPPERCASE box. Press OK. If you have Check spelling as you type enabled, all capitalized words not in the Office dictionary will immediately display red underlines.
