labeling charts is useful if the reader needs to know the exact value for each point we can position labels left right above below or centered however centering line chart labels typically looks messy so in this video Im going to show you how you can make them more stylish here I have a regular line chart the first thing I want to do is add the data labels and I want them centered next I need to format each series data labels so selecting the labels just with one left click Im going to press ctrl one to open the format data labels pane here I want the Paint Bucket and Im going to set the fill to solid and I want it white that way it hides the line behind the label and we want to format the text its a good idea to match the text color to that of the line now this is the line color but notice with the font for the text it looks a shade lighter so you can always go one shade darker for your text it will help the text be more readable but the reader wont actually be able to distingui

A line graph is commonly used to display change over time as a series of data points connected by straight line segments on two axes. The line graph therefore helps to determine the relationship between two sets of values, with one data set always being dependent on the other set.
The horizontal label across the bottom and the vertical label along the side tells us what kinds of data is being shown. The horizontal scale across the bottom and the vertical scale along the side tell us how much or how many. The points or dots on the graph represents the x,y coordinates or ordered pairs.
A line chart, also referred to as a line graph or a line plot, connects a series of data points using a line. This chart type presents sequential values to help you identify trends. Most of the time, the x-axis (horizontal axis) represents a sequential progression of values.
Line charts can display continuous data over time, set against a common scale, and are therefore ideal for showing trends in data at equal intervals or over time. In a line chart, category data is distributed evenly along the horizontal axis, and all value data is distributed evenly along the vertical axis.
A line chart is a type of chart used to show information that changes over time. Line charts are created by plotting a series of several points and connecting them with a straight line. Line charts are used to track changes over short and long periods.
A line chart consists of a horizontal line i.e. x-axis and a vertical line i.e. y-axis to represent the data. The x-axis shows the time period whereas the y-axis shows the item that is being measured.
