To set up Speak Selection on your Mac, go to System Preferences, click Accessibility, then Spoken Content, and select Speak selection. Customize settings by selecting a keyboard shortcut and choosing highlighting options for words and sentences. Choose to indicate spoken sentences with underline or color. Set the controller to show automatically or never and click OK. To use Speak Selection, select text and use the keyboard shortcut to have your Mac read it aloud.
