o create a first line indent in your letter, go to the View tab and ensure the Ruler is displayed for easier customization. Place the insertion point at the beginning of a paragraph and press the Tab key to indent. The First Line Indent marker on the Ruler will move forward 1/2 inch. Additionally, there are Hanging Indent, Left Indent, and Right Indent markers for creating different types of indents. These adjustments only affect selected parts of the document, not the entire letter. Select all paragraphs and drag the First Line Indent marker to create a first line indent, or utilize the Hanging Indent to move all lines except the first line.
