when you open a new document in microsoft word by default you will get a blank document with calibri size 11 font this is because it is pulling from a template that is stored in your app data folder you can get there by hitting the windows key type in run and then app data click on the roaming folder microsoft and templates and right here is the normal template that is used by default so to change this you want to overwrite the normal file so save a new document with the name normal and put it here but im going to back this up first in case we want to go back to this so im just going to put it on my desktop and leave this open then i have my document here that i want to use by default say its my company default branding that you want to use for every document you can also change the theme so its different font different style you can also modify the normal style this is the default text so you want it size 12 you can also change the spacing or centered or bold whatever you want i
