well its a momentous day for the welsh mhs and for the blood service in particular because as from today a wider range of people will be able to give blood here in wales and its a big day for the lgbt community because we have a system now in wales which is fair to everybody which captures the donations of all those people willing to donate and it was a particular pleasure for me giving my 50th blood donation today to be there alongside people donating blood for the very first time the health service in wales needs blood to do all the things we rely on it to do and todays a big step forward to make sure that we have those supplies coming through and that people who want to give blood are able to do so
