hey guys welcome back to the channel today we are sharing with you our top 10 tips for taking a transatlantic Cruise yeah we just got off a transatlantic Cruise a few days ago and while we were on we booked two more we took some of these tips into consideration while we did it and we thought oh weve made a few mistakes so were gonna help you avoid those the first mistake we made on our transatlantic Cruise was not realizing or not thinking about the fact that the sun is going to be in the same place for the entire cruise so youre youre sailing east to west or west east well the sun is always going to you know be on the south side of the ship so if you have a balcony that faces that direction youre going to be in the Sun every single day and its going to be kind of a blazing glaring Sun so if you like it this strong daytime heat coming in you know some people actually like that a couple people were upset that they were not on that side and wanted to be on the side that we were on

Yes, In fact, cruises put in all of their documentation that the itinerary is subject to change - mostly due to weather patterns. Occasionally, a port is closed because the ship arrived too late and the customs people have gone home - so nobody was permitted to get off the ship.
Though your itinerary may change, cruises are rarely canceled due to storms. Ships are designed to handle rough seas and can be rerouted to avoid danger. Once youre on board, any port updates will be announced over the ships intercom or detailed in a notice delivered to your stateroom.
Many ships do reposition across the Atlantic as they move between Europe and the Caribbean, or the East Coast, or South America. But a repositioning cruise might follow a completely different route. For example, it could travel from Hawaii to Sydney across the Pacific, or through the Panama Canal.
You can get a refund, or a partial refund, if you ask far enough in advance. But if youre within a month or two of sailing, you wont get a cruise fare refund, even if theres an itinerary change due to war. (Youll probably get your taxes, fees and shore excursions reimbursed.)
There are many reasons why a cruise itinerary might change. They include inclement weather that forces a ship to avoid dangerous conditions, medical emergencies that require your vessel to divert to the nearest port of call, port closures, ship mechanical issues, scheduling conflicts and a host of other causes.
What if I need to make changes to my ship or sailing date? Ship and sailing date changes are allowed prior to the final payment due date, subject to a $50 USD service fee per person, per change. Changes made after the final payment due date are subject to standard cancellation penalties.
Customer may transfer their reservation at any time after booking (must be outside of final payment; customer will lose their deposit if it has already been paid to the cruise line).
