Therefore, NYU requires that all students registered in degree-granting programs maintain health insurance that meets the Universitys minimum criteria. This ensures students have access to quality healthcare and are protected from financial risk. With this in mind, most students are automatically enrolled in and charged a premium for one of NYUs-sponsored student health insurance plans. Simply visit nyu.edu/health/insurance during the enroll/waive period to confirm your enrollment, upgrade or downgrade a plan, or opt out due to alternate coverage. Have your current insurance card handy as youll need it to complete the online form if you want to waive NYU-sponsored student health insurance. Any changes you make to your health insurance will be reflected on your NYU bill in 3-5 days. If youve already paid in full and are owed a refund, it will be automatically processed.
