hi im michelle welcome to finally revealed in this installment i want to talk to you about waiver what is a waiver a waiver it comes up sometimes in documents uh they can come up in times of documents with your bank they can come up uh when there are some types of claims that youre making and youre making a settlement but in general a waiver is there are several elements to a waiver and to be valid a waiver is a present relinquishment of a known right what that means is for you to waive a claim or for you to waive a right it has to be a right that you have now not something in the future that you might have but something that you have now so its present it has to be knowing you so you have to know what it is that youre waiting and that should be clearly stated in the document before you sign it and then it has to be a right that you actually have so its a present relinquishment means youre giving it up of a known right when you sign something and theyre asking you to waive it s

How Do Waivers Work? The NFLs waiver process is a system that restricts where young players can sign. Any player with less than four years of NFL service when cut is not a free agent, but must first pass through waivers. Any player on waivers is subject to having their contract claimed by any other NFL team.
The waiver order decides which team will get the desired player. The waiver order at the start of the season is based on the draft order. The manager who picked last in the draft will get the first chance at picking up a player. Once a general manager signs a player off of waivers, they go to the back of the order.
After each Game Week in the regular season, the waiver priority list is reset: The new rank is determined by the reverse order of the current league standings (the manager with the lowest league standing gets 1st rank). When playoffs begin, the waiver priority list stops resetting.
The League Manager (LM) has the option of modifying waiver settings and player signings allowed during the season. Players added via trade do not count against any team acquisition limits. NOTE: This setting cannot be changed after the league has drafted.

Commissioners can edit waiver position after the draft by going to League Settings Edit Waiver Wire Order . Note: You can only do this after your league drafts for the new season.
Waiver settings is LOCKED at start of draft and acquisition limits can be changed by LM through out the season. Click on Transactions and Keepers then click on the Edit button next to signing and Waiver Rules.
Reset Each Week - Each Monday morning at 12am PT/3am ET when new fantasy week starts, the order resets to inverse standings. Move to Last After Claim - Once a manager successfully claims a player via Waiver process (DIFFERENT THAN FREE AGENCY PICKUP!), that manager will move to the bottom of the order.
