Were going to stretch the word out and then were going to move the counters for the sound of the word. Were going to touch the counters again and then fit the word back together. And then theyre going to tell me how many sounds that theyve heard. So if I said the word is bug. Everybody say bug. Stretch it out - b-u-g - And then were going to move our counters. Bu - uh - gah. Again sounds bu - uh - guh. The word is bug. How many counters did we move up? We moved three counters for the word bug. Now Ill have the kids move the counters back.
