Modify an Access app Click Settings Customize in Access in the upper right corner of your browser window. Click Open when prompted by the browser. On the left side of the screen, click the table caption name in the Table Selector whose view you want to change, and then click the view that needs changing.
Create a form from an existing table or query in Access. To create a form from a table or query in your database, in the Navigation Pane, click the table or query that contains the data for your form, and on the Create tab, click Form. Access creates a form and displays it in Layout view.
You can also use Accesss Replace feature to replace every occurrence of specific text with new text you specify. Select the column header or click in any cell in the column (field) you want to replace text. Click the Replace button. You can also press Ctrl + H to replace data.
The Replace() function replaces a substring within a string, with another substring, a specified number of times.
Open a slide with a table, click on the table and the Layout tab appears. After selecting the Layout tab there are options available to modify rows, columns, merge cells, change cell size, modify the alignment, the table size and arrange the table position.
You can rename a table and most other database objects directly from the Navigation Pane. In the Navigation Pane, right-click the table that you want to rename ,and then click Rename on the shortcut menu. Note: You must close all open objects that reference the table before you can rename it.
Do one of the following: To refresh the records in Datasheet or Form view, on the Home tab, in the Records group, click Refresh All, and then click Refresh. To refresh the records in PivotTable or PivotChart view, on the Design tab, in the Data group, click Refresh Pivot. Press SHIFT+F9.
Create or open a table in Datasheet view by right-clicking the table that you want in the Navigation Pane and then clicking Datasheet view from the shortcut menu. In the Add New Field column, enter the name of the field that you want to create. Use a descriptive name so that the field will be easier to identify.
To rename a table or other database object, you must rst close it. In the Navigation Pane, locate and right-click the object that you want to rename and then click Rename on the shortcut menu that appears. Or, select the table in the Navigation Pane, press F2, type a new name, and then press Enter.
