From the form, select the Formatting tab then select Manage Templates. Select a template to preview, then select Copy to create a new template or select OK to edit the template.
No matter how careful you are when invoicing, mistakes can happen. A customers address may be typed wrongly, a discount may not have been applied, or the items themselves may be incorrect. Once sent, you can no longer edit the invoice directly, and a credit note must be issued instead.
HMRC guidance states that if you have sent an invoice to your customer and need to make any changes, you should create a credit note for the incorrect invoice, and then send a new invoice to your customer with the correct details.
To correct a mistake on a handwritten invoice you have already given to a customer, write a corrected version, mail it with a note explaining the correction, and keep copies of both the incorrect and corrected invoices.
Under the Design tab, you can change the colors, font style, and logo. In the Content tab, you can add or remove fields and customize your invoices wording. In the Emails tab, you can change your invoice online delivery options. Click Done to save your changes.
E-invoicing improves tax controls; amendments cancellations are allowed. Amendment/cancellation on IRP; e-invoice system allows for 24-hour cancellation. On GST portal, amendments/cancellations are permitted. Process to cancel e-invoices in bulk also explained.
Step 4: To edit an invoices details, click on the edit icon under the Actions column. The invoice data will be displayed. Step 5: Click on the Edit button at the bottom of the page. The Item details sections will become editable.
Go to the Gear icon and then select Custom form styles. Choose the template youd like to customise, then click Edit. You can also click on New Style, then choose Invoice. On the Edit invoices that turn heads and open wallets, click either the Design or Content tabs.
