in this lesson were going to talk about evaluating logs using the change of base formula so we know that log base 2 of 16 is equal to 4 because 2 to the fourth power is 16. but lets say if you dont know that heres how you can use the change of base formula to get the same answer but heres the formula log base a of b is equal to log of b divided by log of a and the reason why its called the change of base formula is because you can change the base originally the base is a but you can make it into any new base well call it c c could be 5 8 12. as long as these two are the same it doesnt really matter what c is the equation will work so log base 2 of 16 you can type it in your calculator as log 16 divided by log 2. now when you type it in your calculator like this its automatically going to make it base 10. so regardless of whatever the new base is you will still get the right answer so go ahead and type that in log 16 divided by log 2 and youll see that is equal to 4. try thes

The setState() Method State can be updated in response to event handlers, server responses, or prop changes. This is done using the setState() method. The setState() method enqueues all of the updates made to the component state and instructs React to re-render the component and its children with the updated state.
We have to set initial state value inside constructor function and set click event handler of the element upon which click, results in changing state. Then pass the function to the click handler and change the state of the component inside the function using setState.
useState is a Hook (function) that allows you to have state variables in functional components. You pass the initial state to this function and it returns a variable with the current state value (not necessarily the initial state) and another function to update this value.
You can use useEffect() react hook to check the current state. Non-functional React uses componentDidUpdate ; with functional React you have to use the useEffect hook with a dependency array containing the state variable.
With setState the current and previous states are merged. With replaceState , it throws out the current state, and replaces it with only what you provide. Usually setState is used unless you really need to remove keys for some reason; but setting them to false/null is usually a more explicit tactic.
One way is to initialize the state is in the constructor. As we discussed earlier constructor is the first method to be called when React instantiates the class. This is the perfect place to initialize the state for the component because the constructor is called before the React renders the component in the UI.
How to Implement Decide what class will act as the context. Declare the state interface. For every actual state, create a class that derives from the state interface. In the context class, add a reference field of the state interface type and a public setter that allows overriding the value of that field.
Changing the state Object To change a value in the state object, use the this. setState() method.
If you want to update your state in the browser you can! Modify it by clicking and editing state attributes in the React tab. This will re-render the DOM, passing the state down through the props.
In React, the state is immutable. In simple terms it means that you should not modify it directly. Instead a new object should be created to set the state using setState .
