After the initial submission of your AMCAS application, letter entries may not be deleted; instead, they may be designated as No Longer Being Sent. This can only be done if the letter has not been received by the AMCAS program.

Your letter writers must submit their letter on your behalf. The AMCAS Letter Service enables letter writers to send all letters to AMCAS directly rather than individually to each school. AMCAS will accept letters of evaluation and distribute them to participating medical schools electronically.
Only a single school is required to kick-start the verification process, and additional schools can be added later without delaying your application. If youre waiting on your MCAT score, you might want to apply to one school initially and add more after you see how you did.
The email must be sent to AMCASExceptions@aamc.org and include the following information: Applicant Name. Applicant AAMC ID. State and county of legal residence currently listed in the application. State and county of legal residence that the applicant would like it changed to.
