To remove extra spaces between words in Excel, use the LEN function to count characters. Select cells with extra spaces, go to Home tab, click Find and Select, choose Replace, add two space characters in Find section, a single space in Replace section. Click on Options, ensure Within sheet and Look in are selected, then click Replace All. Repeat until no double spaces remain, leaving only single spaces between words.
