Texas birth and death records are confidential. Certificates are only available to: the person named on the certificate. immediate family by blood or marriage (parent, grandparent, brother, sister, adult child, spouse)
To add, remove, or change a father on an original birth record, you will need to submit: A completed Application for New Birth Certificate Based on Parentage. Application fee of $25. One of the following supporting documents: $22 for each certified copy of the amended record requested.
